Kara Gordon is pursuing a Masters in Theological Studies at Fordham University, with a concentration in Modern and Contemporary Theology. She is primarily interested in theological anthropology as it pertains to ethics, specifically the boundaries of the body and the imago Dei. Methodologically, she looks at intersections between womanist and Asian American theologies, disability and cyberethics.

Before pursuing her MTS, she received a BFA in Communication Design and English Literature from Washington University in St. Louis. She spent a decade designing and art directing for publications including The Atlantic, Commonweal, and Harvard Divinity Bulletin, as well as creating typefaces for clients including Google, Yahoo, and the Whitney Museum of American Art. She maintains immense gratitude and respect for design systems and visual culture.

She has over 500 hours of yoga teacher training with a focus on alignment, integration, and trauma-informed practices. She lives in Brooklyn, NY with her partner, Matthew.
